basil-hayden-cognac-cask-reserve-750ml
Basil Hayden Cognac Cask reserve 750ml

Basil Hayden Cognac Cask Reserve is a limited-edition Kentucky straight bourbon finished in French Cognac casks and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). It starts from Basil Hayden's high-rye recipe, known for a lighter, softer style, then picks up brandy-barrel sweetness in the finish. The nose shows dried apricot, ripe pear, and vanilla; the palate brings caramel, orange peel, and gentle rye spice before a smooth finish of sweet oak and baking spice. It suits drinkers who like Basil Hayden's easygoing character and are curious how a Cognac finish adds fruit without adding weight, and it makes a sensible gift for a bourbon-curious friend.

How to drink Basil Hayden Cognac Cask Reserve

Pour it neat or over one large cube; at 80 proof it is soft enough that a little dilution goes down easily. The fruit-forward finish also suits an Old Fashioned built with just a bar spoon of simple syrup.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0253/9972/2044/files/BasilHaydenCognacCaskReserveKentuckyStraightBourbonWhiskeyLimitedEdition750ml.jpg?v=1790862424
