Black Button Double Barrel Bourbon takes the distillery's four-grain mash — corn, wheat, malted barley, and rye — through two separate new charred American oak barrels instead of one, aging in Rochester, New York before bottling at 84 proof. The second barrel adds extra oak contact on top of the base bourbon's caramel and vanilla, giving it a bit more spice and a drier finish than Black Button's standard release. It's a straightforward way to taste how additional new-oak time changes the same base bourbon, and it's easy enough to drink neat or on the rocks without needing a mixer.
