About this bottle
Espolón Reposado is a 100% blue agave tequila made in Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco, and rests up to six months in American oak — enough to round out the sharper pepper notes of the blanco without covering up the agave. Espolón built its identity around Día de los Muertos-inspired skeleton artwork on the bottle, which has made it one of the most recognizable labels in the tequila aisle, but the liquid inside is genuinely solid for the price: vanilla and caramel from the oak sit over a clean, cooked-agave base. It's owned by Campari Group and remains one of the better value reposados for everyday Margarita-making.
How to drink Espolón Reposado
Shake it into a Margarita or Paloma — it's built as a value mixing tequila first. It also holds up fine neat over a single rock if you want to taste the oak on its own.

Questions about this bottle
How should I serve Espolón Reposado?
Sip it neat or on the rocks in a rocks glass — its brief time in oak makes it smooth enough to drink slowly, though it also mixes well.
What cocktails work well with Espolón Reposado?
It's a solid choice for a Paloma or Tequila Old Fashioned, where its light oak notes add depth without overwhelming the other ingredients.
How long is Espolón Reposado aged?
It rests in American oak barrels for up to six months, at the shorter end of the reposado category, which keeps the agave character close to the front.
