Foursquare 2008 12YR 750 ml
About this bottle
Foursquare 2008 is a 12-year-old rum from Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, part of the Exceptional Cask Selection series overseen by master distiller Richard Seale, widely regarded as one of the most respected names in modern rum. Foursquare distills both pot and column still spirit and ages it tropically in Barbados, which accelerates maturation compared to cooler climates, so 12 tropical years carry more oak influence than the same span in Scotland or Kentucky. Expect rich dried fruit, caramel and baking spice, with real depth from the tropical aging. A well-regarded, collector-attention rum rather than an everyday mixer.
How to drink Foursquare 2008
Sip it neat in a tulip glass to follow the tropical-aged oak character; this is a rum built for the same attention as a fine whisky, not for a cocktail shaker.
