About this bottle

Sandeman is one of the oldest sherry and port houses, founded in 1790 and recognizable by its silhouetted "Don" logo — a caped figure in a wide-brimmed hat that's been the brand's mascot since the 1920s. Armada is their cream sherry, a blend of Palomino grapes for the base with sweet Pedro Ximénez added, matured through the solera system in American oak in Jerez, Spain. That combination gives it real dried-fruit richness and nutty depth — raisin, caramel, and toffee — while staying smoother and less intensely sweet than a straight Pedro Ximénez sherry. A classic after-dinner pour with genuine pedigree behind it.

How to drink Sandeman Armada Cream Sherry

Serve it slightly chilled after dinner, on its own or over ice — cream sherry doesn't need much dressing up. It also pairs well with blue cheese or a simple almond dessert.

Questions about this bottle

How should I serve Sandeman Armada Cream Sherry?

Serve it slightly chilled or at cool room temperature — cream sherry is richer and sweeter than dry styles, so a light chill keeps it from feeling heavy.

How should I store Sandeman Armada Cream Sherry after opening?

Refrigerate it after opening; it's fortified so it lasts longer than table wine, but it's best finished within a few weeks for the freshest flavor.

What is the solera system used for Sandeman Armada Cream Sherry?

It's a fractional blending method where younger sherry is progressively blended into barrels of older sherry over time, which is how sherry houses maintain a consistent style across vintages.
