Highland Park 18 Year Old Viking Pride is a single malt Scotch from Orkney, the northern islands where the distillery has made whisky since 1798. Eighteen years in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks give it a deep gold color and a layered profile: aromatic heather smoke, honey, and dried fruit on the nose, then a rounded palate of Seville orange, dark chocolate, and toffee. Bottled at 43% ABV, it carries its age with balance rather than weight, and the gentle island peat threads through without dominating. The finish is long, sweet, and lightly smoky. This is a whisky for unhurried sipping, neat or with a few drops of water to open the sherry and smoke.
