Five Wives Heavenly Vanilla Custard is a flavoured vodka from Ogden's Own Distillery in Utah, bottled at 35 percent alcohol — a little below full strength, which is common for dessert-flavoured vodka and keeps the sweetness from turning harsh on the back end. The Five Wives name is a piece of Utah humour the distillery has never once apologised for. The nose is vanilla bean and warm custard; the palate is creamy and sweet with baked sugar and a little egg-yolk richness; the finish is soft and short.
