The mash bill runs 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley, rested long enough to pull deep color and layered wood from the barrel. Bottled at 108 proof, it opens on vanilla and caramel, then turns toward dried oak, baking spice, and a whisper of leather across a long finish. This is a slow sipper rather than a mixer, and the age is the whole point. Pour it neat in a Glencairn and give it ten minutes; a few drops of water loosen the older, drier character without thinning the body.
