La Venenosa Etnica Tepe 750ml

La Venenosa Etnica Tepe is a Jalisco raicilla, the mountain agave spirit that sits alongside tequila and mezcal but keeps its own accent. The Etnica range follows raicilla back to the communities that have been distilling it for generations, working with individual taberneros and their small stills rather than one central house, and the spirit is bottled unaged so the maguey and the wild ferment carry the flavour. The nose leans on cooked agave, wet stone and crushed green herbs; the palate turns waxy and floral with tropical fruit over a savoury core; the finish is long, dry and faintly peppery. Pour it neat in a copita and give it a few minutes to open.
