Rare Character's Limited Release series comes out under a Kentucky straight whiskey label, which gives the blenders room to work outside the narrow definitions of bourbon or rye. Batch No. 2 of 2025 is one of those releases: a marriage of mature barrels chosen for how they taste together rather than for hitting a fixed house profile. Expect caramel and dried orchard fruit on the nose, a palate of baking spice, toffee, orange peel and a dry oak backbone, and a warm finish that lingers.
