Sagamore Spirit Rye Reservebar Barrel 163 750 ml

Barrel 163 is a Sagamore Spirit rye single barrel selected for ReserveBar. Sagamore works out of a waterfront distillery in Baltimore and built its name on Maryland-style rye, a softer and more approachable take on the grain than the aggressive Midwestern school. A single barrel bypasses the blending bench entirely, so this is one cask's character with nothing averaged out of it. The nose is toffee, dried orange and a mint lift. The palate is rye pepper laid over vanilla and honey, with red apple and light oak. The finish is medium, warm and gently drying. Serve it neat, on a large cube, or in a whiskey sour that needs backbone.
