This Bar Topflight Series release carries a six year age statement, enough time in new charred oak to pull real colour and structure without burying the grain. The nose opens on vanilla, orchard fruit and sweet oak, the palate turns to caramel, cinnamon and toasted grain with a peppery edge, and the finish lands medium-long and dry. Drink it neat to judge the barrel, then let the second pour sit on one large cube.
