Yuu Baal Espadin Reposado 750ml

Yuu Baal Espadín Reposado is an Oaxacan mezcal made from espadín agave, roasted in a conical earthen pit over wood and river stone, crushed by a stone tahona, fermented in open wooden vats and distilled in copper before it rests in oak. That rest softens the edges without burying the smoke underneath. The nose is roasted agave, wood ash and vanilla with a little dried fruit; the palate is round and warm, smoked pear and honey set against toasted oak and a green herbal streak; the finish is long, smoky and gently sweet. Sip it neat from a copita with orange slices and sal de gusano alongside.
