Botanika Angelica Amaro 750ml

Botanika Angelica Amaro is a herbal bitter liqueur built around angelica root, one of the oldest botanicals in the European distiller's cupboard and the same one that gives gin its earthy backbone. Amaro is made by macerating roots, barks, herbs and citrus peel, then sweetening just enough to hold the bitterness in balance rather than erase it. The nose is angelica root, dried herbs and orange peel. The palate runs bittersweet through gentian and caramel with warm baking spice behind, and the finish is long, drying and cooling. This is a digestivo first. Pour it neat at room temperature after dinner, over ice with an orange twist, or in place of vermouth in a boulevardier.
