Azulejos Masterpiece Anejo Bottle Number Three is an anejo tequila in a hand-decorated peach-toned ceramic bottle, one of a numbered range built around Mexican talavera pottery. Anejo requires at least a year in oak barrels, and that year is what turns a peppery agave spirit into something darker and considerably softer. Expect vanilla, cooked agave and dried orange on the nose, a palate of caramel, toasted oak and baking spice with the agave still legible underneath, and a finish that runs warm and lightly sweet. The bottle is designed to stay on the shelf long after the tequila is gone. Pour it neat, or over a single large cube.
