About this bottle
Beringer Bros. Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is a California red wine finished in emptied bourbon barrels after primary aging, a technique Beringer's winemaking team uses to layer whiskey-barrel char and vanillin onto the wine's fruit. The wine pours a deep garnet and opens with blackberry, cassis, and a streak of toasted oak and vanilla carried over from the bourbon cooperage. On the palate it's full-bodied with ripe dark fruit, brown sugar, and a warm baking-spice note through the mid-palate, finishing smooth with lingering oak and a touch of char. It's built for cabernet drinkers who want the round sweetness of bourbon aging without losing the wine's structure.
How to drink Beringer Bros. Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon
Pour it into a standard red wine glass at cool room temperature, around 60-65°F, so the bourbon-barrel char doesn't read hot. It's rich enough to stand up to grilled steak, barbecue, or a slab of dark chocolate.

Questions about this bottle
What's the best way to serve Beringer Bros. Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon?
Serve it at cool room temperature (60-65°F) in a standard red wine glass; a few minutes of air lets the bourbon-barrel char soften.
What makes this cabernet different from a standard Beringer cabernet?
After fermentation and normal barrel aging, this wine spends additional time in barrels that previously held bourbon, picking up vanilla, char, and baking-spice notes on top of the base cabernet sauvignon character.
Who makes Beringer Bros. wines?
Beringer Bros. is a small-batch line from Beringer Vineyards, one of Napa Valley's oldest continuously operating wineries, aimed at wine drinkers who also enjoy bourbon.
