Hudson Baby Bourbon is a straight bourbon from Hudson Whiskey, distilled from 100% New York corn and aged in small barrels at their Tuthilltown Spirits distillery. The small-barrel aging speeds up wood contact, giving a young bourbon that still shows real oak character. Expect a corn-forward, slightly sweet nose, a palate of vanilla and baking spice with a grassy corn backbone, and a short, warm finish. It's less polished than a big-brand bourbon aged a decade in full-size barrels, but that rawness is the point - this is one of the whiskeys that helped kick off the American craft distilling movement.
