WildRye Five Drops 10 Year Anniversary Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

WildRye Five Drops is a straight bourbon whiskey released to mark the distillery's tenth anniversary — the kind of bottling a small producer puts out when it finally has something worth marking. Straight bourbon means at least two years in new charred oak with nothing added, so what reaches the glass is grain, wood and time and very little else. Expect caramel, vanilla and baked corn on the nose, a palate of brown sugar, toasted oak, cinnamon and a little dark fruit, and a finish that stays sweet before drying into oak. Drink it neat to take its measure, then build an old fashioned around it.
