It's distilled from a blend of local apples and pears and aged a minimum of eight years in oak under the XO designation, developing notes of dried fruit, baking spice, and oak alongside Calvados's signature apple character. Pierre Huet is a smaller, family-run producer rather than one of the larger Calvados houses, working from its own orchards in the Pays d'Auge. The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of sweetness typical of well-aged Calvados.
