Don Melchor is Concha y Toro's original icon wine — Chile's first ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon, first released in 1987 and still sourced from the Puente Alto vineyard in the Maipo Valley. The 2013 vintage shows the concentrated blackcurrant and cassis fruit that Puente Alto's gravelly soils are known for, layered with cedar, graphite, and fine, polished tannins from extended barrel aging.
