About this bottle
Sauza Edicion Limitada 150 Aniversario is an extra anejo tequila released to mark a century and a half since Don Cenobio Sauza put his name on the business in 1873, the man credited with pinning tequila to blue agave specifically and with sending the first shipments north across the border. Extra anejo means at least three years in oak, and the wood is unmistakable here. The nose is vanilla, dried apricot and toasted oak. The palate is soft and sweet-edged, with caramel, cooked agave, cinnamon and a little dark chocolate. The finish is long, warm and gently drying. Neat, at room temperature, in a copita.
