About this bottle
The Dalmore Select Edition 2009 is a 15-year-old Highland single malt from the distillery on the Cromarty Firth, known across its range for finishing whisky in fortified wine casks — sherry butts in particular — after primary bourbon-cask maturation. That secondary aging is where Dalmore's signature dried-fruit and dark-chocolate depth comes from, distinguishing it from lighter, drier Highland malts. Expect dried fruit, dark chocolate, baking spice, and a hint of smoke, with 15 years giving enough time for the sherry influence to fully integrate without overwhelming the base spirit.
How to drink The Dalmore Select Edition 2009
Serve it neat in a tulip glass; Dalmore's sherry-driven richness is built for slow sipping and unfolds more with time in the glass than with ice.
