The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is distilled at Bruichladdich, better known for its single malt Scotch, using 22 wild botanicals hand-foraged from the island of Islay alongside nine classic gin botanicals. Distillation runs slowly through a converted Lomond still nicknamed "Ugly Betty," giving the delicate foraged plants — heather, gorse, bog myrtle, and others — time to express themselves without being overwhelmed by heat.
