Master blender Stephanie Macleod marries Islay and Highland single malts aged at least 38 years, rests the marriage back in its original casks, folds in a reserved parcel of the previous 37-year release, then finishes everything in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks that once held Royal Brackla. Bottled at 48.8% in a 375ml decanter, the whisky moves from white flowers and citrus into creamy vanilla, toasted cereals and gentle smoke, closing on dried figs, plum and dark chocolate.
