About this bottle
Louis XIII is Rémy Martin's pinnacle cognac, blended from up to 1,200 Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, the oldest aged as long as a century in old Limousin oak tierçons. Generations of cellar masters raise the spirits in every decanter — no one who starts the blend is there to finish it. The house lists its aromas plainly: myrrh, honey, dried roses, plum, honeysuckle, cigar box, leather, figs, and passion fruit, with a flavor the maison says can linger on the palate for up to an hour. Each hand-crafted crystal decanter is individually numbered and finished with a 20-carat gold neck. Pour it in small measures at cellar temperature, for the kind of occasion that happens once a decade.
