Suntory 17 Year Hibiki Whiskey 750ml

A blend of malt and grain whiskies aged at least seventeen years, Hibiki 17 Year Old is a Japanese whisky that helped define the category's reputation for harmony and polish. Suntory married components from its Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries across several cask types, including prized Japanese Mizunara oak. At 43% ABV the result is silky and rounded: honey, dried fruit, and sandalwood on the nose, then vanilla, toffee, and a whisper of smoke across the palate. Discontinued in 2018, it now trades well above its original shelf price and moves quickly when a bottle surfaces. Serve it neat or with a single large cube; this is a whisky to study, not to rush.
