About this bottle
Dareringer is part of Rabbit Hole Distillery's Founders Collection, a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in PX (Pedro Ximenez) sherry casks after its initial maturation, bottled at 93 proof. The sherry finish pushes the whiskey toward dried fruit and sweet caramel rather than a straightforward oak-and-vanilla profile, with warm baking spice running underneath on the nose and palate. It carries wood, spice and floral notes up front, then settles into dried fruit and caramel sweetness, finishing long and smooth with just a touch of residual sweetness rather than a hot burn. This is a bourbon for someone who already likes what a sherry cask does to whiskey and wants that character turned up.
How to drink Rabbit Hole Dareringer
Neat is the right call here — the PX sherry finish is the whole point, and ice will mute the dried-fruit sweetness fast. A Manhattan with a light hand on the vermouth is the one cocktail worth trying it in.

Questions about this bottle
How should Rabbit Hole Dareringer be served?

It's a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in PX (Pedro Ximenez) sherry casks after its primary maturation, at 93 proof.
What cocktails work well with Rabbit Hole Dareringer?
A Manhattan with a restrained pour of sweet vermouth lets the sherry-cask character come through without piling on more sweetness.
