About this bottle

Cakebread Cellars built its Napa Valley reputation on balance, and the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon shows why. This Napa Valley red leads with ripe blackberry, dark plum, and boysenberry, then folds in dark chocolate, baking spice, and a note of toasty oak. The blend is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon rounded out with small amounts of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Syrah, which lends the wine finely knit tannins and fresh acidity. Full-bodied but never heavy, it finishes long and structured. Open it an hour ahead and pour alongside grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, or aged hard cheese; it will also reward a few more years in the cellar.

How to drink Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Give it an hour of air before pouring, around 62-65°F. It's structured enough to reward cellaring but drinks well now alongside grilled ribeye or braised short ribs.
