Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old, Batch 2 (Red Circle), is a small-batch release in Ardbeg's Traigh Bhan series, named for a beach near the Islay distillery. It marries whisky matured in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks, layering Ardbeg's trademark heavy peat with sherry-driven dried fruit and spice, at a higher-than-standard 46.2% ABV without chill filtration. Expect bonfire smoke and iodine on the nose, a palate of dark fruit, dark chocolate and peat, and a long, smoky, warming finish. Each numbered batch varies slightly in cask makeup.
