About this bottle
Bladnoch 29 Year Old Bicentennial Moscatel Cask Finish comes from Bladnoch, Scotland's southernmost distillery in the Lowlands, released to mark the distillery's bicentennial and finished in Moscatel wine casks. Lowland malts are traditionally lighter and more delicate than their Highland or Islay counterparts, and 29 years of maturation followed by a sweet wine cask finish adds real depth and complexity on top of that gentler base. Expect honeyed dried fruit and floral notes on the nose, a rich, sweet-wine-influenced palate, and a long, elegant finish. It's a rare, occasion-worthy bottling.
How to drink Bladnoch 29 Year
Pour it neat in a tulip glass and give it time to breathe — at this age and with the Moscatel finish, the aromatics keep unfolding for several minutes.
