About this bottle
Glencadam 10 Year is the entry-level single malt from Glencadam distillery in Brechin, in Scotland's Eastern Highlands, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration. Glencadam runs slow distillation and long fermentation, which the distillery credits for a lighter, more elegant style than many Highland malts known for bigger, sherried profiles. Expect citrus and light honey on the nose, a clean palate of pear, vanilla and gentle spice, and a smooth, medium finish. An approachable, well-priced introduction to the distillery.
How to drink Glencadam 10 Year
Fine neat, but light and clean enough to also take a splash of water or a single ice cube without losing much character.
