About this bottle
Glenfiddich Grand Yozakura is a 29-year-old single malt Scotch whisky and the first Scotch finished in Japanese ex-awamori casks. Awamori is Okinawa's ancient rice spirit, and its casks rarely leave Japan — the distillery finished this whisky in them after 29 years in American and European oak. The result pours deep gold at 45.1% ABV: zesty ripe fruit and caramelised almonds up front, toasted oak and vanilla toffee across the palate, a flick of sherbet lemon and green apple, then a long, oak-driven fade. Part of the Grand Series and genuinely limited, this bottle trades between collectors more often than it gets opened. Pour it neat, no ice, for a milestone worth marking.
