About this bottle
The Arran Amarone Cask Finish is a single malt Scotch from Arran Distillery on the Isle of Arran, finished in casks that previously held Amarone, the rich, dried-grape Italian red wine from Veneto known for its intense concentration. That finishing is unusual for Scotch and gives it a distinctly Italian wine-driven character. Expect dark cherry, raisin and light spice on the nose from the Amarone influence, a rich, fruit-forward palate with vanilla and oak underneath, and a warm, moderately long finish. A distinctive, wine-cask-finished expression from a relatively young island distillery.
