About this bottle
The GlenDronach Ode to the Valley takes its name from the distillery itself: Glen Dronach means the valley of the brambles, the stretch of Aberdeenshire farmland where the stills have run since 1826. This is a Highland single malt in the house's sherried style, though pitched brighter and more fruit-led than the darkest bottlings in the range. The nose is bramble fruit, orange marmalade and soft malt; the palate brings blackberry, honey, dried apricot and gentle oak spice; the finish is medium-long, sweet and lightly nutty. An easy introduction to sherry-matured scotch. Serve it neat, or with a few drops of water to lift the fruit.
