Tullibardine 225 Sauternes Finish is a single malt Scotch from Tullibardine Distillery in the Southern Highlands, finished in casks that previously held Sauternes, the sweet botrytized dessert wine from Bordeaux. That finishing gives it a distinctly dessert-wine-influenced profile compared to Tullibardine's other cask-numbered releases. Expect honeyed sweetness, dried apricot and light botrytis character on the nose, a rich, sweet palate with candied citrus and vanilla, and a lingering, honeyed finish. It's one of the more overtly sweet entries in the '225' cask-finish series, aimed at drinkers who enjoy dessert-wine-cask whisky.
