About this bottle
The Benriach The Sixteen Three Cask Matured is a special whisky which has been aged in three different types of casks: Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximenez sherry and Madeira. The whisky was then finished in first fill bourbon barrels for an additional complex and smooth finish. It has an amber color and a complex, sweet aroma of citrus, ripe fruit, oak and dark chocolate. On the palate, it has a velvety texture with flavors of oranges, honeycomb and caramel. The finish is long and dry with notes of spices, nuts and oak. This whisky makes a great dram after dinner or as an aperitif.
How to drink BenRiach The Sixteen
Pour it neat after dinner or as an aperitif to let the sherry-cask fruit and chocolate notes show. A single drop of water can open it further.
