About this bottle
This barley-based whisky from Bruichladdich Distillery is a tribute to the defunct Port Charlotte distillery that once operated on Islay, Scotland. Made from 100% lightly peated Islay barley and aged in second-fill bourbon and virgin oak casks, it has a complex flavor with vanilla and tropical fruit, smoke and light peat, a hint of dried herbs, earth and spice, finishing clean and lingering.
How to drink Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014
Serve neat in a tulip glass — the second-fill bourbon and virgin oak give it enough complexity to explore slowly before deciding if it needs a splash of water.

Questions about this bottle
What's the best way to serve Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014?
Serve neat in a tulip glass, with a few drops of water if you'd like to open it up.
What makes this bottling distinctive?
It's made entirely from barley grown on Islay itself, rather than barley sourced from the Scottish mainland — Port Charlotte is Bruichladdich's medium-peated line, between the unpeated core range and the heavily peated Octomore.
