About this bottle

Del Bac Normandie is a limited-release, small-batch whiskey made at the Del Bac Distillery (Hamilton Distillers) in Tucson, Arizona. The whiskey is made from mesquite-smoked barley and aged 13 months in American oak casks. It has a deep copper color and a nose of rich, sweet vanilla and oak, moving into a full-bodied palate of smoked chestnut, caramel, and dark chocolate, complemented by dark fruit and vanilla aromas. The finish is long and oaky with a hint of smoke.

How to drink Del Bac Normandie

Pour it neat or on the rocks, and try it alongside dark chocolate to echo the whiskey's own chocolate and smoked-chestnut notes.

Questions about this bottle

How should Del Bac Normandie be served?

Serve it neat in a tulip glass at room temperature to let the mesquite smoke and dark chocolate notes show clearly.

How is Del Bac Normandie made?

It's distilled from mesquite-smoked malted barley by Hamilton Distillers in Tucson, Arizona, aged 13 months in American oak.

Why does Del Bac use mesquite instead of peat?

Del Bac uses mesquite wood, native to the Arizona desert, to smoke its malted barley instead of the peat used in Scotch whisky, giving its whiskeys a drier, brush-like smoke character.
