Benrinnes is a distillery rarely bottled as a single malt under its own name, making independent releases like this one one of the few ways to taste its spirit directly rather than blended away into a blended Scotch. The Oloroso finish adds sherry sweetness and dried fruit over Benrinnes' naturally meaty, slightly waxy new-make character, resulting in balanced sherry, oak spice, and a smooth, lingering finish.
