About this bottle
Rebecca Creek's bottled in bond release follows rules written into US law in 1897: the product of one distillery and one distilling season, aged at least four years in a federally supervised warehouse, and bottled at exactly 100 proof. That last requirement is the reason bonded whiskey drinks the way it does, with more weight and grip than an 80 proof pour but well short of cask strength. Expect caramel and toasted grain on the nose, a palate of brown sugar, cinnamon, baked apple and firm oak, and a long, dry finish. Drink it neat, over one large cube, or in an old fashioned that needs backbone.
