Tin City Chocolate Love is a chocolate liqueur from the small Paso Robles distillery that shares its name with the Central Coast warehouse district full of winemakers and brewers. It leans toward dark chocolate rather than milk-chocolate candy, which keeps it usable behind a bar instead of stranding it in dessert territory. The nose is cocoa nib and vanilla with a little roasted grain underneath; the palate is dark chocolate over rounded sweetness with a faint warmth from the spirit; the finish is rich and cocoa-dry. Pour it over ice with a splash of cream, stir it into coffee, or shake it with bourbon and a dash of bitters.
