About this bottle
Pillitteri Estates Icewine 2017 is a Riesling icewine from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, one of the world's leading icewine regions. The grapes are left on the vine into winter and pressed while frozen, concentrating sugar and acid into a small amount of intensely sweet juice. The nose carries ripe apricot and honey, the palate is thick and syrupy with bright Riesling acidity holding the sweetness in check, and the finish is long and honeyed. It's a dessert wine through and through, sold in a small 375ml bottle meant for sharing in small pours.
Serve well chilled, around 45°F, alongside crème brûlée or a plate of aged blue cheese.
