Qvevri Wine Georgia Koncho&Co Mtsvane 750ml

Mtsvane is one of Kakheti's great white grapes, and its name simply means "green" in Georgian — a fair description of both the berries and the aromatics. It is more perfumed than the workhorse Rkatsiteli it is often blended with, which is why growers increasingly bottle it on its own. The nose is white peach, pear and jasmine with a green herbal note underneath, the palate is dry and floral with stone fruit, citrus and a light waxy weight, and the finish is fresh with a soft bitter-almond edge. Serve it chilled with grilled fish, herb-heavy salads, or Georgian dishes built on tarragon and coriander.
