Newton Mount Veeder is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Newton Vineyard's estate on Mount Veeder, a steep, high-elevation sub-appellation of Napa Valley known for producing more structured, tannic wines than the valley floor. Newton is also known for its unfiltered wine philosophy, bottling with more natural texture and complexity than heavily filtered wines. Expect dark cherry, cassis and mountain herbs on the nose, a firm, structured palate with grippy tannin and dark fruit, and a long, savory finish. Built as an age-worthy Napa Cabernet rather than an easy-drinking everyday bottle.
