About this bottle
Fonseca Bin 27 is a ruby port from the Fonseca house in Portugal's Douro Valley, blended from the estate's traditional grape varieties — Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca — and aged briefly in oak before bottling. It's Fonseca's flagship non-vintage ruby, built to be full and generous rather than subtle: ripe red and dark fruit on the nose, blackberry, plum, and a touch of chocolate on the palate, finishing long and warm. Fonseca has made port under its own label since the 18th century, separate from its better-known sibling house Taylor Fladgate. A reliable, food-friendly port for anyone who wants richness without needing to cellar a vintage bottling.
How to drink Fonseca Bin 27
