About this bottle
Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is an extra añejo tequila drawn from the Cuervo family's private cellar at La Rojeña, the oldest working distillery in Latin America. First released in 1995 to mark the family's 200th year of tequila-making, it spends a minimum of three years in American and French oak. The result drinks closer to a fine brandy than most tequila: cooked agave wrapped in dark oak, vanilla, cinnamon, and dried fruit, with a long sherried finish. Each bottle ships in a collectible wooden box carrying artwork commissioned from a different Mexican artist every year. Made from 100% Blue Weber agave and bottled at 80 proof. Serve it neat in a snifter, after dinner, for the tequila drinker who has tried everything else.
