Alma del Jaguar Reposado 750 ML

Alma del Jaguar Reposado takes the same additive-free spirit from Destileria Cascahuin in Jalisco and rests it in oak, long enough to soften the edges without covering the agave underneath. Reposado is a narrow legal window, at least two months and no more than a year, and houses that care about agave character tend to stay near the short end of it. The nose brings vanilla and light toasted oak over cooked agave and citrus. The palate is rounder than the blanco, with caramel, baked pear and a run of pepper through the middle, and the finish is warm and dry. Neat is the honest way to drink it, though a single large cube also works.
