ARC Archipelago Botanical is a botanical spirit in the contemporary gin mould, where juniper shares the stage with the other aromatics rather than dominating them. Gins in this style are built around a signature set of botanicals, usually citrus peel, florals, herbs and roots, distilled into a clean base so the character comes through without a heavy pine backbone. Expect a fragrant nose of citrus zest and soft florals, a palate with gentle juniper, herbal sweetness and a hint of spice, and a dry, aromatic finish. It suits a lighter serve than a London dry does. Pour it over ice with tonic and a grapefruit twist, or build a gin and soda with fresh herbs.
