Sandeman is one of the oldest sherry and port houses, founded in 1790 and recognizable by its silhouetted "Don" logo — a caped figure in a wide-brimmed hat that's been the brand's mascot since the 1920s. Armada is their cream sherry, a blend of Palomino grapes for the base with sweet Pedro Ximénez added, matured through the solera system in American oak in Jerez, Spain. That combination gives it real dried-fruit richness and nutty depth — raisin, caramel, and toffee — while staying smoother and less intensely sweet than a straight Pedro Ximénez sherry.
