About this bottle
Avuá Jequitibá is a Brazilian cachaça, distilled from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses and rested in jequitibá rosa, a native Brazilian hardwood that colors the spirit a pale rose and adds soft spice. It's part of Avuá's small-batch, single-cask-style range built to show off different Brazilian woods. Expect grassy, vegetal sugarcane notes up front, a palate of soft spice and light fruit from the wood, and a clean, slightly sweet finish. It reads closer to a lightly aged agricole rum than a molasses-based one.
How to drink Avuá Jequitibá
Built for a caipirinha, muddled with lime and sugar over crushed ice, though the wood-driven spice also holds up neat in small pours.
